No. We are an independent comparison and guide site. We list popular laptops once, then link you to UK retailers that sell them. Orders, delivery and returns are handled by the retailer you buy from.

Laptop prices change constantly and we would rather not show you a price that is out of date. When we have checked a price recently we show it with the date we checked; otherwise we send you to the retailer to see the current price.

Because seeing the same laptop four times in a list is annoying. Each model has one listing, and every retailer that stocks it is shown as a button underneath.

No. We show a typical configuration using widely published headline specs. Most laptops are sold in several versions with different processors, memory, storage and screens, so always check the exact spec on the retailer listing before buying.

Retailer links go through our /go/ redirect and are marked as sponsored. Some are, or may become, affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you. It does not change which laptops we list or what we say about them.

We do not copy retailer or manufacturer photos. The illustrations are drawn in code to show the type of laptop. Click through to a retailer to see real photos of the exact model.

Both. PC World merged into Currys years ago and pcworld.co.uk now redirects to currys.co.uk. We label it "Currys PC World" so you know what you are getting.

Start with our buying guides. As a rule of thumb for 2026: 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD, a Full HD or better screen, and a recent processor will keep most people happy for years.
